FINS FIND A WAY TO WIN! Down Eagles 20-19
Winning sometimes happens when you least expect it. Just when it seemed like this Miami Dolphins team had lost its way, it found a way to win one on the road with contributions from players like Zack Vigil, Jamar Taylor and Bobby McCain. In a game that was full of unexpected turns and some ugly plays by both teams, it was the Dolphins this time who found enough defense and just enough offense to pull it out and maybe give this team something to build on. Yeah I know we are not very good, but maybe we are not very bad either. Maybe among the bottom part of the league where the Dolphins most certainly live, we are competitive and can win some games. Granted it doesn't give the team a lot of hope of winning in the post season or even making it to the playoffs. But man it feels good to win every once in a while.
As far s the game, it was truly an up and down affair with the Eagles making more horrible plays than Miami did, and Miami having a little more luck and making a few big plays. The special teams did get a blocked punt that led to a touchdown. Reshad Jones made a game saving interception in the end zone late in the fourth quarter. Rookie RB Jay Ajaya gave the team I much needed boost of life with some impressive and long runs when he entered the game. And the defensive line was great at pressuring the QB and knocking Bradford out of the game. The team did make plays. The Eagles also did their share to help as they looked horrible from the first quarter on and made mistake after mistake. But that is football. You make plays. You capitalize on mistakes and you minimize your mistakes. And in the end you get a win. And this win could not have come at a better time. So let's enjoy this one and see if the team can pull it out against Dallas next week and get to .500.!
